Year 6 Homework Schedule
Reading – You will be expected to read for a minimum of 10 minutes each evening and record your reading in your reading record. You should also read with an adult at home at least once a week, discussing the text that you are reading and answering questions about what you have read.
Spelling and Maths Facts practice – Daily practice is the best way to improve both your spelling and maths learning therefore we suggest that you practice these throughout the week (not just on specific homework days!)
Homework: In Year 6, children are set homework with the intention that they spend a concentrated 30 minutes on a task daily. However, children will be set homework on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday to allow them to work around extra-curricular activities and get into good time management habits ahead of Secondary school next year.
