Main Activity

Prime numbers. Please complete at least one section of the sheet (A = challenge 1, B = challenge 2, C = challenge 3).

A prime number is any number that can only be divided by one and itself.

Remember your tricks for working out prime numbers:

- Is the number even? If yes, it is not prime (unless it is the number 2)

- Do the digits add up to a multiple of 3?

257 - 2 + 5 + 7 = 14 therefore 257 is not a multiple of 3

255 - 2 + 5 + 5 = 12 therefore 255 is a multiple of 3 because 12 is.

- Does the number end in a 5? If yes it is not prime (unless it is the number 5)

- Is the number divisible by 7? If yes it is not prime (unless it is the number 7)
