Subitising snow challenge!
Use the snow pictures below to help develop your subitising skills. With each picture, say how many prints you can see in the snow. Can you tell someone at home how you see the amount? If there are 3 footprints in the snow, you might see 2 and 1.
Subitising is the ability to look at an amount of objects and being able to recognise how many objects there are, without having to count each object. It is a great way to help children develop their understanding that numbers are made up of smaller numbers. Have fun!
