Here is a copy of the Common Exception Words booklet that was included with this half term's pack. Please work your way through the sections. CEW are words where spelling works in an unusual or uncommon way. They may be exceptions to spelling rules, or words which use a particular combination of letters to represent sound patterns in a rare or unique way.
Part of being healthy is being able to unwind, relax and be calm. Why is this important? What would happen if we didn't relax?. Use the pictures on the sheet below. Cut them out and order them from least relaxed to most relaxed. What do you notice about how the pictures change as you go along the line?
Over the next couple of weeks you could try out some of the Chill Skills on the attached and/or find a video clip of relaxing sounds/music and pictures...waterfalls, bird song, waves, cuddly animals?
On the website enter your username and password in the boxes on the screen (the details are in the pink book) then click on the Log In button. All done! You should now see 2 boxes to choose from. The box titled “Hands, feet, heart ” has 6 steps. Try to do activities from step 1 in week 1 and so on. The other box has lots of songs you can choose from – enjoy!
This half term we are going to have a look at and try making and using some different types of puppets.
Using your sock puppet you could try to make up a puppet show of a fable or fairy story. When we get back we will be looking at shadow puppets. Have a look at this great clip from the Muppet Show
