Vision, Aims and Strategic Priorities

Our vision is for our children to achieve to the very best of their ability, to be confident, well – rounded and prepared for the next stage of their education.

Our aims drive the strategic development of the school and are underpinned by the school's four values: Resilience - Responsibility - Respect - Kindness

  • We feel safe, supported, cared for and have a sense of belonging to our school
  • We are kind, respectful, resilient and responsible in everything we do
  • We celebrate difference and are inclusive in our behaviour towards one another
  • We build and foster healthy relationships and resolve differences positively
  • We know how to care for our minds and bodies in order to keep them healthy
  • We communicate effectively by listening and sharing ideas and opinions
  • We are creative, curious and inquisitive life-long learners
  • We enjoy a range of opportunities and experiences in and beyond the classroom
  • We have high aspirations for now and for the future
  • We have a love of learning and are proud of our school

Our 2022-2025 strategic priorities help us make progress towards fulfilling these aims, focusing on:

1) Improving the quality of teaching and learning so it is consistently highly effective enabling children to achieve well

2) Developing the school curriculum so it is ambitious and well sequenced, enabling children to build knowledge over time through engaging learning opportunities

3) Building leadership across the school at all levels to drive improvement

4) Promoting and sustaining the well-being of staff and children at the school, so that motivated staff support happy and engaged children

These strategic priorities drive the school development plan for 2024-25, which outlines objectives and actions for school leaders.

To deliver the school development plan, we continuously evaluate all aspects of the school. The evaluation methods include reviewing the quality of teaching, learning and the curriculum, analysing school data and gaining regular feedback from children, staff, parents and governors. The school also works with external advisors who challenge and support school leaders when evaluating the overall educational provision we provide for the children.
